ERIC LONG ELECTED WISHLIST FOUNDATION VICE PRESIDENT

Eric LongCHICAGO, IL – In a unanimous vote by the board of directors of Wishlist Foundation, a Pearl Jam fan-run grassroots nonprofit organization, California native and founding member Eric Long was elected as Vice President of the organization on March 27, 2014.

In addition to his new role as Vice President, Eric will maintain his current position of Treasurer in the organization.

As Vice President, Eric will step in as acting leader of Wishlist Foundation, in the event that President Laura Trafton cannot. Eric will continue assisting in the development and implementation of policies and objectives for the organization to ensure it maintains its values and meets established goals.

Because most nonprofit organizations rely on donations from the community and individuals interested in the organization’s success, Eric will assist in spearheading fan awareness initiatives, helping Wishlist Foundation to remain visible to the community and those interested in supporting the foundation. This may include assigning staff members to coordinate fundraisers, community events and other programs to create responsiveness to Wishlist Foundation.

Because the position of Vice President has remained open for a number of years, Eric was already performing the Vice President’s portion of the fiscal duties. Along with Laura, this includes ensuring Wishlist Foundation is compliant with state and federal guidelines as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. His responsibilities encompass overseeing and maintaining the financial budgets for the organization, allocating funds for each department and ensuring the financial stability of the Wishlist Foundation in short and long term operations.

Wishlist Foundation is grateful to Eric Long for his dedication, over nine years of 100% voluntary time, effort, professionalism and hard work. We are very excited to have Eric as our new Vice President & welcome him to the job!

Congratulations & Thank You, Eric Long!
